Hi, I'm Gabi Almeida! I'm an artist and the creator of Mini Gabi World, a whimsical wonderland of characters living in a world full of graffiti and a mansion filled with misfits. I bring this to life through animations, live projection shows, street art, and music.
Every body of work is an episode from this multimedia series, based on the story of a girl named Mini Gabi, the main character who, done with the human drama, embarks on a quest to create her own universe.

But Things Got Wildly Out of Control…
Things got wildly out of control when a mansion popped up on the outskirts, bringing along squatters who seemed to think they were artists, entrepreneurs, or some sort of changemakers… honestly! Let’s not even mention the ghost landlords who were more demanding than her last landlord and the mysterious haunting harmonies that only emerged when the night owls finally went to bed!

To top it off, commercial dance tunes blared like an endless Ibiza party she never wanted to attend! Just when she thought it couldn’t get any worse, a street art invasion occurred, with unreadable graffiti letters suddenly plastered all over her walls, followed by vandals defacing her carefully curated street sculptures.

All she wanted was a little peace and quiet—just her, a cup of tea, and no humans in sight! Now, not only does she find herself trapped in a reality circus, but she’s also responsible for this chaotic character world! And don’t forget the flying owls offering Uber services!

Welcome to the Mini Gabi World Film!

In this episode, I wanted to showcase the vibrant universe of Mini Gabi World and its eccentric residents through whimsical character design and visual storytelling. I blend charming animation with surreal fantasy in an animated music video where the quirky characters roam the graffiti-clad streets and inhabit the ghostly mansion.
I combined different animation and illustration techniques and used one of my very first tracks, “Paint My Colours,” to reflect the diversity of this colorful world, appealing to fans of character art and art enthusiasts alike.

A Collage of Styles and Inspirations
As a multimedia artist, I have many influences and am constantly curious about the world. I draw inspiration from various art forms and styles, including graffiti, anime, the circus, gothic fantasy, punk, surrealism, and more.
Mini Gabi World is a tapestry of architectural and cultural periods, blending Baroque tiled floors, gothic towers, Victorian furniture, and other eclectic elements, creating a unique visual experience.
I wanted to create something full of rhythm that simultaneously tells a story and portrays a world, mixed with styles like a big collage.
